Become an Independent Skydiver with the French AFF Training Course

The French version of the AFF program (PAC), is the modern skydiving training method designed for anyone who wants to become independent in freefall. It replaces the former static-line jumps and allows you to experience a full freefall from 4,000 meters starting with your very first jump, accompanied by certified instructors.

Duration:

  • Approximately 2 to 4 days, depending on weather conditions and the student’s progress.

  • The training includes one full day of ground theory followed by 6 supervised jumps and a first solo jump.

Training Objectives:

  • Learn to skydive solo in complete safety

  • Master freefall body position and technical skills

  • Learn how to control the canopy and land independently

  • Prepare for the A License, the first certification for independent skydivers

PAC Initiation Jump :

The PAC initiation jump is the first jump of the PAC training course. After completing the theoretical briefing and ground training on procedures, the participant performs a freefall jump with two instructors, using their own parachute, for a fully supervised first step toward autonomy in skydiving.

PAC Training Program Overview

Before boarding the aircraft, each student completes a comprehensive ground training session lasting approximately 4 to 6 hours. This training allows you to understand and practice:

  • Skydiving equipment (main canopy, reserve parachute, altimeter, harness, etc.)

  • Freefall body positions and communication signals with instructors

  • Safety and emergency procedures

  • Parachute control and landing management

Once this preparation is validated, it’s time to put theory into practice!

Theoretical Training

Each jump is filmed with a GoPro to allow for a personalized debriefing and to track the student’s progress.

The training includes everything you need: professional supervision, 7 jumps, aircraft, full equipment, parachute packing, logbook, and videos.

At the end of the course, the participant is able to jump solo in complete safety.

Freefall

All jumps are performed from an altitude of 4,000 meters, with approximately 50 seconds of freefall each.

  • The first jump is completed with two instructors

  • Subsequent jumps are completed with one instructor

  • The 7th jump is performed solo
